Even though I`ve lived in Devon several years now, for some strange reason I`ve never visited this place, so I decided to have a walk round today.
It was orginially bought by Issac Merritt Singer, founder of the Singer Sewing Machine Company. It has a lovely marble hallway, and painted ceiling inside..
There is a museum of old sewing machines, I loved this one decorated with flowers
The grounds are lovely too, I thought the archway and the old gaslights were wonderful
And there were some cheeky little fellows too
I really enjoyed my visit, and will definately be going back.
