Well today we woke to an awful grey wet day, certainly a sharp contrast to the lovely day we had yesterday, with blue sky and sunshine. Nothing for it then but buckle down to the weekly shop, oh joy dodging the sharp showers, and the wind snatching at our coats and hair.
This afternoon, I got down to some baking. A fluffy sponge..
Fruity scones..
Jammy tarts..
Norfolk shortcakes......so not a wasted day then...obviously
I wont be eating any of it, I made it for my husbands pack-up for the week, of course I might just have to nibble the corner of something to check its up to standard....all in the course of duty clearly...lol..

Makes me hungry just to read about them. The Norfolk shortcakes look wonderful. Would you share the recipe - also I'm always on the lookout for a good scone.
