Snowy Devon

We decided to risk a trip up Dartmoor this morning, after hearing on the news we`d had the most snow in twenty three years. Well certainly not in the bay, where we`d only had a light sprinkling, but we knew Dartmoor would be covered, so we just hoped the roads were passable
We went to Haytor, as its not too far onto the moor, it was full of people enjoying the snow, tobogganing, throwing snow balls and snow boarding.
The moor looked beautiful, as though it had been iced in the night.
The gorse was draped in snowy shawls, and there were lovely sparkling snow drifts
The snow was lovely and crisp and crunchy, but very deep..
In places you could disappear up to your knees! as did Pete
We dont see snow very often, so it was lovely to go out and enjoy it..
